Meet Shawn Norman, the founder and principal designer of Shawn Norman Interiors. Born and raised in Westchester, New York, Shawn has always had a creative spirit and admiration for the arts. He studied modern and contemporary dance throughout his high school years, inspired by legends like Twyla Tharp, Debbie Allen, Bob Fosse and Alvin Ailey.

Embarking on his college journey, Shawn majored in Architectural Engineering and earned his degree from the University of Hartford. It was during these formative years that Shawn’s passion for interior design blossomed. He developed a critical understanding of how ones experience and interaction with a space can have a profound impact.

Shawn gained invaluable professional experience working as a designer for high end firms in Westchester and New York City during his post-grad years. He honed his skills and sharpened his design eye, developing an aesthetic that cleverly balances his love of art deco and mid-century modern design with whimsical accents and joyous pops of color. Starting his own interior design company in 2023, Shawn continues to create inspiring spaces for clients that truly make their houses feel like home.
